about

Years ago in an interview, I mentioned we were working on a sci-fi rock opera...this ep comprises 4 songs from that unreleased album, which is called June 9, 1951. On that date, the Velvet Curtain opens, allowing travelers from the planet Neptune to reach earth. The songs are thus a sort of back-and-forth narrative between the rulers of Neptune and a team of dope-smoking New York scientists who travel back from 1967 to block their plans for conquest with surrealism and a Mellotron Mark II. Like you do. Perhaps the whole album will be released one day. If you happen to own a record label and are keen to press vinyl, do let us know. Cheers, Peter Quinnell
